My Updated MORE Effective, MORE Natural DIY Deodorant Recipe

DIY All-Natural Deodorant

I was supposed to have a follow-up post to my original all natural DIY deodorant recipe ages ago. It was a good recipe, but it wasn’t all there, if you know what I mean. I suffered A LOT of wetness with that recipe, but I didn’t experience any smell, plus the detox symptoms were minimal at best. HOWEVER… Due to sheer laziness, this new recipe was born. I swapped out some ingredients, and added more of this, less of that. From DAY ONE, this updated recipe has made my spring AMAZING!

It still has majority of the same benefits of the last recipe, but all in all, this is what we’re getting with this updated natural DIY deodorant recipe:

  1. No odour: None, zero, nada… I still need to test this in the gym after a hard workout, however, for the hustle and bustle of city life, and the casual walk here and there, you will smell fresh and clean for up to 12 hours.
  2. No precipitation: This really shocked me. But I think I know why. I added a lot more beeswax to this recipe, and I feel like this really helped to keep the wetness that I was suffering with my previous recipe at bay.
  3. No smell: I used rosemary essential oil in place of tea tree oil in this recipe. Personally, I enjoy the smell of rosemary, and the fact that it can work in place of tea tree oil is a bonus to me.
  4. No transfer: This is a big one. As you probably know from the old recipe, I used a few powders used in this recipe, and in my earliest renditions of this recipe, they caused HEAVY STREAK STAINS. Sure, they could be easily washed out, but it still sucks. Again, I think due to the wax, this prevents the powders from transferring as much, therefore leaving little to no residue.

The hardest thing  for you to do in this DIY is measuring everything out. Apart from that, literally dumping everything into a double boiler – except the essentials oils please! – and waiting for the wax to melt is all the hard work that you need to do!

Try it out, and let me know how it works for you!
