For the past couple of years, I’ve been on the path to greenify my life. I’ve been able to replace my deodorant, as you can see here and here. Being on my natural hair journey, I’ve been able to completely eliminate harmful hair products by making my own, which are for sale here. For years, I’ve been able to maintain pristine oral health and hygiene by using this DIY toothpaste recipe. I don’t have a dentist, so taking care of my teeth and oral health is something that I have to take into my own hands.
With this DIY toothpaste recipe, I use items that I have on hand. This keeps it relatively inexpensive and highly eco-friendly to make my own toothpaste. I typically purchase items like coconut oil, essentials oils and baking soda in bulk, as they have multiple uses. One thing that I don’t need to do – and haven’t done for YEARS – is floss. Shocked?! Don’t be! Some of the things that I use in my all-natural oral hygiene regimen include:
- Hydrogen Peroxide as Mouthwash: Really inexpensive, but highly effective in keeping teeth white, breathe fresh and bacteria on the down low
- My DIY Toothpaste: Helps keep teeth white and helps keep bad breathe at bay
I’m working on adding in a biodegradable toothbrush to my regimen. I think that this will definitely help keep my regimen both eco-friendly and low waste! Try out the recipe below, and let me know what you think! Do you have a DIY toothpaste that you’d like to share? Let me know, down below in the comments!
